About me, John Ward

I started my career as an engineering cadet in the British Merchant navy back in late 70s. For the next decade I served on a number of Princess Cruises passenger liners all over the world, responsible for the running and maintenance of all aspects of the ship's engineering operations. I left the Merchant Navy in 1990 as a Chief Engineer.

From engineering to IT! The next few decades were a far cry from life at sea: sales, marketing, general management - and not a spanner in sight.

The urge to get some grease under the nails was strong, so I started restoring cars in my spare time. Cars included a 1970 Alfa Romeo Spider, AC Cobra replica, Mercedes 280SL (still one of my favourites) a 1965 Mustang convertible, to name a few.

Now that I have left the corporate world, I can be devoted to my passion.

Not only am I so much more satisfied with my life, I am also creating a few nice cars for others to enjoy.
